Start free. Upgrade when the team depends on it.

Tovin.io is built for engineering-led teams that need cost accountability before they need procurement. Start with a permanent free plan, then move to a predictable fixed price as tracked spend and operational dependency grow.

Paid plans are fixed monthly or annual subscriptions, managed entirely from Settings → Billing & plan. Annual billing includes two months free. Tracked-spend numbers are plan guidelines, not surprise overage invoices.

Yoni Ryabinski, founder. That no-surprise-overage promise is mine to keep.

On every plan — included from day one.

Tovin.io's core value is the ledger itself. Every plan includes the multi-cloud rollup, mapping rules, unallocated spend, budgets, and anomaly alerts; paid plans unlock scale, retention, exports, and operating workflow.

Read-only by default

AWS roles with external IDs, GCP service accounts, DigitalOcean tokens — every integration is scoped to read, validated with a no-op call, and KMS-encrypted before it lands.

30 minutes a week, not four hours a month

The weekly habit replaces a monthly spreadsheet — review project spend, inspect deltas, assign unallocated cleanup, and decide whether a budget needs adjusting.

One ledger, every cloud

AWS, GCP, and DigitalOcean projects roll up into a single account view. Provider detail stays queryable underneath for audit.

A note from the desk

Transparent pricing beats a sales process.

Most FinOps tools hide pricing right when small teams need a straight answer. Tovin.io prices by tracked cloud spend so the bill stays tied to the size of the cost problem, not the number of people invited to fix it.

The practical rule: if the ledger saves one engineering hour a month or prevents one avoidable cost surprise, the paid plan should feel obvious. If it does not, stay on Free until it does.

Pricing FAQ

Is the free plan a trial or permanent?

The Free plan is permanent for teams tracking up to three thousand dollars a month in cloud spend. It is meant for solo founders and tiny teams proving the project ledger before they put Tovin.io on an invoice.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. Start on Free with read-only AWS, GCP, or DigitalOcean credentials. Upgrade only when tracked spend, team size, retention, or operational workflow needs a paid plan.

What counts as 'tracked spend' for plan limits?

Tracked spend is the monthly cloud cost flowing through Tovin.io from connected provider billing data. It does not include unconnected accounts or projects you have not chosen to monitor.

What clouds are included on the free plan?

AWS, GCP, and DigitalOcean — all three on every plan. DigitalOcean is first-class here, not a paid add-on or an afterthought.

What happens if we exceed a tracked-spend limit?

Tovin.io does not surprise-bill overages. Plan limits are guidelines for when paid features pay for themselves; you can upgrade in one click from Settings → Billing & plan whenever your team is ready. We never auto-charge above your plan.

Is annual billing available?

Yes. Annual billing includes two months free on paid plans. Monthly billing stays available for teams that want to prove the workflow first.

How do you handle credentials and security?

Every integration is read-only by design. Credential blobs are KMS-encrypted at rest with a per-tenant encryption context, so a leaked envelope cannot be replayed against another organization.

Which plan should a small engineering team choose?

Choose Team when the goal is weekly cloud cost ownership. Choose Operator when the ledger is part of operations: Slack alerts, longer retention, per-customer rollups, and rule history matter.
